Bottega Pisani is the story of a family.
A story of commitment and sweetness, of sugar and flour, which was born on the island of
Ischia after the Second World War and reaches to our days.
When Mrs Pisani and her son began to bake sweets on the island of Ischia, theirs was only
a small oven.
An innate talent, combined with tireless dedication to work, soon proved to be their winning weapon: when the Pisans kneaded and baked a cake, the whole village could smell it and
taste it.
Soon the “Bottega Pisani” was one of the most flourishing and popular of the village. On
Sundays, people from all over the island crowded the bridge at the foot of the Aragonese
Castle, where the oven was, to earn a tray of their delicacies.
Today Mrs Pisani is no longer there, but the family tradition is carried on by her son and
nephews who have expanded it making it a modern company, whose daily goal is to bring
the genuineness of Bottega Pisani outside the borders of the island of Ischia, to every corner
of the world.
The woman’s recipe book, an old notebook with yellowed sheets, stained with chocolate and
flour of the times that were and full of the corrections of its owner, is jealously guarded and
religiously consulted, because the recipes of Bottega Pisani never lose their original
authenticity
